Tasogare Otome x Amnesia - Episode 2

While the implied Teiichi x Yūko is nice, the background colours are what I liked the most in this scene.

That was awesome! The combination of an eerie atmosphere and the comedian that is Yūko makes this anime such a pleasure to watch. The shift between "eerie" and "funny" was done very smoothly and it makes me wonder which of the two is the actual focal point of the series. Yūko is continuing to captivate me with her playful personality and beautiful body (although she claims it's not hers). Although nothing much happened in this episode, at least we find out that Teiichi is the reason for Yūko's desire to investigate her past, and thus, effectively working as a prologue to the story.

This episode focused particularly on the human mind and how powerful it can be. It's slightly chilling to know that fighting against something that doesn't exist is substantially more difficult than going up against something that does. Thus, the fear of the supernatural can end up being something deadly as the victim's chances of becoming insane due to it are quite high. While Momoe's seemingly idiotic behaviour may partially be for comedic relief, it was easy to see that her judgement abilities were impaired when she imagined Yūko to be some large and menacing evil spirit while, in reality, the ghost president was just cheerfully skipping towards the scared girl. And since Teiichi ended up "saving" her, it's now clear why Momoe is so infatuated with him. Despite this, I'm still a Teiichi x Yūko supporter.

Aside from the story, I found the artwork to be very good, especially the scenes that showcased the sky. The great mix of colours in the panoramic shots really amazed me. It was like I was watching a Shinkai Makoto movie, for the lack of a better comparison. The screenshot above was one of the scenes in this episode which I really liked.

As the OP is starting to really grow on me, how did the ED fare?
ED: This type of music is exactly what I was expecting when thinking of how the OP/ED should sound for this series. While it matches amazingly well with the anime's genre, I personally didn't really like it as much as the OP. But at least it fits; better than it not fitting at all but being a good song.
