Amagami SS+ - Episode 11

A "Sexy" and "Lovely" episode~

Blogger's Note: Real life apparently had other things in mind, pulling me away from anime and blogging for the past three days. I'll try to catch up with things over the weekend, although reviews may be slow since I have a midterm on Monday.

The best has truly been saved for last. In the first season, I already thought Haruka was really cute, but this episode exceeded my expectations. Her character was shown off spectacularly, especially with those moe moments where she blushed or made a pouting face. And as if the amount of moe was not enough, her relative from England made her first appearance. The two look almost identical, except for their hair color - Haruka has black hair while Jessica has blonde hair. Both have the same playful personality which drew me towards Haruka; it's like two times the awesomeness right now. Although just watching Haruka be herself is enough to satisfy me, the story is quite interesting, too.

The "problem" of this arc isn't quite clear, unlike in the others. It could possibly be about Haruka feeling "lonely" but that was apparently solved inside the "hut of nostalgia". Assuming it's about Haruka desiring to be proposed to but not wanting to request it, I personally don't see that as much of a "problem". The potential for drama doesn't seem as high when compared to the first episodes of the other arcs, which in a way is good since it means more scenes in which Haruka is happy and smiling. However, I'm going to go ahead and predict that Junichi will do something stupid when the two of them are alone and cause a ripple in their relationship; things like this always happen when you have someone as idiotic as Junichi for a main character. Nonetheless, the ending (which I assume will be "happy") is what I'm most looking forward to. Judging from Haruka's wish, it could be about the two of them getting married a certain number of years after they graduate, complete with a grand ceremony and all. That way, what they "practised" won't be going to waste. Overall, it was a "Sexy" and "Lovely" episode, indeed.
