Inu x Boku SS - Episode 3

\(♥ o ♥)/

As you may have already noticed, I've only been using screenshots of Ririchiyo for the past three episodes. I'm not going to bore you by rambling on about how moe she is; just watch this episode and see for yourself. This episode was also really heartwarming and a pleasure to watch. The closing of the distance between Ririchiyo and Sōshi is happening slowly but surely. It may seem too slow for some, but I think it's better this way since rushing this type of thing is never good.

This week's episode focused a lot on Ririchiyo and her past. The reasons for her current personality are explained via informative flashbacks. Knowing this, it is not hard to see why she has such a sharp-tongue. It's unfortunate how she actually realizes this but is unable to control it. This social hurdle is what causes her to think that she's better off being alone. On top of this, her past has socialized her to not trust anyone who is showing kindness to her. As emphasized in the past two episodes, Ririchiyo believes that anyone who treats her nicely is only doing so due to her family name. But now that Sōshi is in her life, things are starting to change for the better since he's the first person that seemingly cares for her not because of the Shirakiin name that she holds, but because of who she is. The way Ririchiyo is slowly warming up to Sōshi is what makes their relationship so beautiful.

Later on in the series, Sōshi's past will also be revealed. If you aren't totally convinced about the Ririchiyo x Sōshi pairing now, I'm almost certain you'll be when that time comes. Without trying to spoil anything, all I can say is that their interrelated pasts make the two of them seem like they are meant for each other. Although his words and actions may have caused a bump in their relationship, Sōshi made up for everything with his excellent showing of loyalty and concern for Ririchiyo, later on. For many, this degree of commitment is unimaginable; I think Ririchiyo feels this way, too. However, it is only because of this personality of his that allows Ririchiyo to start understanding that there are actually people who aren't befriending her with ulterior motives. Similarly, Ririchiyo has impacted and changed Sōshi's life a lot in the past (this will be expanded on later). Helping each other without even realizing it - another reason why the two are a perfect couple.

For those who haven't read the manga, the preview may raise some curiosity. As you may have guessed, two new characters will show up next week and they will definitely add some extra comedy into this series. The two are another Secret Service agent and tenant pairing, just like Ririchiyo and Sōshi. I'll be looking forward to next week (as long as there's a decent amount of Ririchiyo in the episode, I'll be satisfied).
