Accel World - Episode 10

Remind me why clowns are scary again?

Through this episode, more about Brain Burst and the Parent-Child relationship is discussed. It turns out that trying to make a non-Burst Linker become one's child, whether successfully or not, is a one-time thing only, making the decision to attempt the installation an extremely risky one. With that being said, I'm curious as to what caused Kuroyukihime to take that gamble with Haruyuki. On the surface, he seems to be the least capable candidate that she could choose but I guess the reason for her decision will be revealed later on.

The question Haruyuki asks Kuroyukihime is most likely one that's on the minds of all viewers: Just who is her Parent? Obviously, you knew she was going to hide this from Haruyuki, making it all the more mysterious. The only thing that's known now is that Black Lotus absolutely detests this person. While the meeting between the two is inevitable, I'd like nothing more than for this Parent to show up soon. But for now, let's shift our focus back to the issue at hand.

In order to confront Cherry Rook (a.k.a. Chrome Disaster), the four decide to enter the Unlimited Neutral Field, a battlefield in the Accelerated World where there's no timer. What seemed like smooth sailing for the duration of the trip gave way to an unexpected twist, and the appearance of the Yellow King, Yellow Radio. As clowns are generally tricksters, it's not hard to imagine that the leader of the Yellow Legion had planned the entire thing out, like Yuniko has accused him of doing. And with their deceptive skills, clowns are not opponents you want to fight, especially if they've got the psychological edge over you, whether that is through strength or numbers; in this case, the latter.

It's unfortunate, but the preview doesn't look too good either for Haruyuki and co. Both he and Taku seem to be in for a world of pain at the hands of Yellow Radio. Yuniko seems to be even worse off as it appears one of her arms will become amputated during the clash. Even the powerful Black King is chained down by "obligation", although that is still a bit unclear at the moment. Overall, it seems like the battle between the four Burst Linkers and Cherry Rook will have to wait a while as the protagonists will have to deal with Yellow Radio and his minions first.
