What an inconvenient skill to have... |
Another cute and funny episode. When Run was groggily exiting her house to go to school, it reminded me of how Yui from K-ON used to look like that too. However, at least Yui remembers to put on two socks and panties before going outside. I feel sorry for Tooru because she had to see something very disturbing when Run bent over. Somehow, the problem got fixed and the both of them told Nagi and Yuuko about it. It was funny how Yuuko tried to see if it was true by attempting to peek under Run's skirt. After Tooru noticed it, Yuuko quickly changed the subject to class notes. Apparently, she wasn't in class yesterday and needed to see Run's notes. As expected, her notes were so messy that Yuuko wasn't sure what language they were written in. So instead of copying Run's horrific notes, Yuuko copied from Nagi's notes instead. Then, Yuuko made the mistake of asking if Nagi was nearsighted. In response, Nagi tells her the glasses are fake and are used to prevent her from seeing things she doesn't want to see (ghosts I assume). Yuuko's reaction to scary things is exactly the same as Mio's from K-ON. I miss watching K-ON as I watch A Channel.
Later in the day, while Yuuko was going to the washroom and Run was going to the infirmary, Run says she feels sick and suddenly faints. Not knowing what to do, Yuuko panics and eventually decides to bring Run to the infirmary. When Nagi and Tooru finally arrive, Tooru explains that Run fainted because of sleep deprivation. These kinds of things are expected from airhead characters like Run. When Run recovers, it is after school and pouring outside. Wanting to show Tooru what she discovered recently, Run steps into the rain and is suddenly drenched with water. Apparently, she discovered that she attracts the rain. How weird. After telling Run to get back to a dry place, Tooru notices some weird guy staring at Run. I'm guessing he's someone with a forehead fetish since he was staring at Run's forehead. While inside (and away from that perverted looking guy), Tooru dries Run's hair. After getting her hair dried, Run makes Tooru wear this funny looking human-sized-plastic-bag thing. It was especially funny to see Run wearing it and wriggling around in it. The two are soon discovered by Nagi and Yuuko, who look scared of the plastic bag things. After learning about what happened, the group decide to head over to Nagi's house because it is closest to the school.
At Nagi's house, they split into two groups to see who gets to use the shower first. The groups turn out to be Run/Nagi and Yuuko/Tooru. While Run and Nagi are in the bath, Tooru presents Yuuko with an ultimatum after a long period of awkward silence: watch a scary movie or endure the silence. Wanting to get along with Tooru, she decides to watch the movie even though she can't handle scary things. When Nagi and Run return, Yuuko is so scared that she is pale and speechless. However, a bath seemed to snap her out of her frozen state. I found it funny how both their bodies were so different while Nagi and Run were quite similar. Yuko is tall and has a big chest while Tooru is short and flat-chested. There must have been a moment where Tooru felt a bit jealous. To feel better about herself, Tooru takes advantage of the time when Yuuko is washing her hair while closing her eyes and starts poking her randomly. I feel sorry for Yuuko because of all the teasing she has to endure. When the two of them are finished and open the door to Nagi's room, they are met with a blast of hot air. Apparently, both Nagi and Run thought turning up the heat in the room would dry their clothes faster. They hadn't taken into account the fact that they would also be victim to the heat. After turning off the heat and letting the room cool down, the four of them do what girls their age do: hang out and chat. Ten minutes after the three of them left Nagi's house, they return in the same state that they came in: filthy and drenched. It was funny how Run was still smiling when they came back to Nagi's house. I am satisfied with my daily does of A Channel. Looking forward to the next episode.
