THE iDOLM@STER - Episode 19

I chose this image because I like the background. Seriously.

Episode Rating: ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ (5/5)

A surprisingly lovely and entertaining episode. Despite not being a Takane fan myself, I found that her character definitely grew on my after watching the episode - her way of speaking and her "sixth sense" (or whatever you'd like to call it), especially. On top pleasing Takane fans, the episode managed to squeeze in a lot of plot development. Firstly, Touma from Jupiter finally realizes the fact that his producer has been using dirty tricks to defame 765 Productions all along. Hopefully, this will lead to Kuroi getting owned later on. Secondly, the story surrounding Chihaya and the Kisaragi family just got a tad more interesting as more and more information is being revealed. Next week looks to be the conclusion of this mystery, which was introduced as early as Episode 4, depending on how you see it. While this week already contained its fair share of drama, I believe next week is going to top this one by a long shot. I'm very much looking forward to it and I hope that, after everything has been settled, Chihaya will finally be relieved from all the pain and suffering she has been enduring for a while now.

The ED, 風花 (Kaze Hana), was the only new song in this episode. The IN, フラワーガール (Flower Girl), was used back in Episode 13. With such a wonderful, drama-filled episode, I will post my guess on what is going to happen next.
Remember, this is just a prediction. There's a chance (actually, a very high chance) that it's going to be wrong. Please bear that fact in mind when reading.

The Kisaragi Family
The bits and pieces of information via flashbacks give a general idea on the situation of this broken family. After the death of her little brother, which Chihaya feels totally responsible for, her parents' divorce, leaving her all by herself. From an outsider's point of view, this is undoubtedly one of the worst things that can happen to a teenager; someone who needs the warmth and love from their family in order to mature and grow. Unfortunately for Chihaya, she lost everything in such a short period of time. Because there is no one else to blame, she chooses to put the burden and guilt of her brother's death on her shoulders, trudging along the path of life while suffering. And with Kuroi now knowledgeable of this, things don't look good for Chihaya and 765 Productions. What I'm predicting is Producer getting pushed to the edge and managing to heroically save his idols, specifically Chihaya, from the gullible public's criticism. If I were to be optimistic, I would say that Kuroi's days are numbered as Touma will soon speak up for Jupiter and expose his own producer. Topping things off would be Chihaya finally letting go of the past and looking toward a bright future where she begins to focus on singing without any worries.

Jupiter/961 Productions
Finally! The dense "leader" of Jupiter is now aware of his producer's dirty tricks. However, Kuroi seems to intimidate his idols quite a bit so it may take a bit of time before Touma and his group speak out against their producer. But when that time comes, it'll hopefully be the last time Kuroi ever "shows his face" (yes, I did that on purpose). Personally, I don't like Jupiter and hope they go down with their producer since a male idol group in an anime focused on female idols just doesn't sit well with me.

765 Productions
Nothing much I can say right now but I believe the group will stick together like always and prevail in the end. What I do expect is at least one major concert to end the series off. It'll be disappointing if it doesn't happen (unless there's going to be a season two). An open or closed ending won't matter to me but I'm guessing the "story" will be left open-ended.
