THE iDOLM@STER - Episode 16

Doubutsu, Doubutsu, Doubutsu, Doubutsu. Doubutsu Daikazoku~

Episode Rating: ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ (5/5)

Something really made me enjoy this episode, but I just can't quite put my finger on what it was. Anyhow, there was some good plot development despite this being an episode centered on Hibiki. With the last episode being a filler, Episode 16 seemed that much better when it came to the story. Sure, the story of Hibiki and pets was touching and all, but I thought the battle between the two producers took a bit more of the spotlight. What further complicates this mess is the fact that Jupiter believes the ones using underhanded methods to reach the top are the idols at 765PRO. Coupled with their gullible personalities, the persuasive words of their producer were not once questioned. For me, I believe that the coming episodes will show the extent of Producer's capabilities. Whether he succeeds or fails depends on how he deals with Kuroi. As a side note, the lack of Miki in this episode was slightly disappointing.

Regarding Hibiki's pets, I find the crocodile to be the most weird one. The other animals can, more or less, be considered pets, but a crocodile is pushing it. Anyways, that's just my opinion. Oh, and Hamuzou's slap was epic. Two new songs played in this episode are below.
