THE iDOLM@STER - Episode 15

Let's give a big round of applause to our wonderful MCs!

Episode Rating: ★ ★ ★ ☆ ☆ (3/5)

Whenever there's a string of great episodes, there's bound to be one that is not as great, bringing the show back to where it usually is; this episode did just that. Not that plotless comedy is boring, but I wasn't as entertained by it as some of the previous episodes. Nonetheless, THE iDOLM@STER will still be a nice watch for me as long as I get my weekly dose of Miki. As for the episode itself, it was focused on a live broadcast of a TV program named "Namassu ka!? Sunday" and featured each of the idols in short clips, with Chihaya, Haruka and Miki as the MCs. Drama should pick up again next week as Jupiter's producer makes another 'move.'

Below are the segments in which the characters were involved in:

Hibiki Challenge
Idol(s): Ganaha Hibiki
Hibiki tries to run from somewhere in the countryside to the broadcast studio before the show ends. On the way, she ends up arriving at an area that had the sign "Beware of Bears" and, shortly after, gets drenched in by rain. Despite failing to make it back in time, she continues to run.

Bamboo Shoot Kindergarten
Idol(s): Takatsuki Yayoi, Miura Azusa, Minase Iori
The trio lead a bunch of kindergarten children in morning exercises. Although Yayoi and Iori fit in perfectly, Azusa stands out, much to the pleasure of the male portion of the crowd. Later in the episode, Yayoi attempts to do a weather forecast but fails at reading the script.

Kikuchi Makoto Remodeling Plan
Idol(s): Kikuchi Makoto, Hagiwara Yukiho
For the first portion of this segment, we have Makoto choosing a set of girly clothes and trying them on for the audience, in order to make herself look more feminine. Unfortunately, no one cheered at all once they saw the "new" Makoto. But once Yukiho picked out some clothes that were more masculine, the crowd went crazy. The obsession of dressing Makoto up makes Yukiho to literally go insane, resulting in Makoto screaming for help.

AmiMami-chan
Idol(s): Futami Ami, Futami Ami
The two twins, wearing identical yellow jumpsuits and using monotone voices, start with the name of an object and then proceed to act it out. This was apparently extremely funny as the audience couldn't stop laughing. For me, I found it boring. Maybe it's some Japanese thing...

Shijou Takane's Ramen Expedition
Idol(s): Shijou Takane with Futami Ami & Futami Mami
The twins, acting as Takane's subordinates, follow her in a ramen expedition. Although Takane could easily finish the large bowl of ramen with a tower of bean sprouts, it was a different story for the twins who barely finished half their bean sprout tower.

Endless Combine Kisaragi: The Movie
Idol(s): Futami Ami, Futami Ami, Kisaragi Chihaya (Mecha Form), Minase Iori, Miura Azusa (Mecha Form), Akizuki Ritsuko (Mecha Form), Hoshii Miki, Hagiwara Yukiho (Mecha Form), Shijou Takane
A PV for a mecha movie featuring the idols. It's quite nicely done and it makes me want to watch it.
