| Your typical tsundere |
This episode had expected dose of a Kugimiya Rie tsundere loli and a laid-back male protagonist. It had quite a lot of action for the first episode. The episode starts with Kinji riding a bike extremely fast in an attempt to run away from the 'uzi mounted on a segway with a speaker' thing. Out of nowhere, Aria jumps from a tall building to save him from that 'thing' and the bomb that was mysteriously placed on his bicycle.
After the explosion, the story goes flashes back to earlier in the morning. The doorbell ringing woke Kinji from his sleep and negative thoughts fill his head. It is clear that he hated his life. After opening the to door to see who had been ringing the bell nonstop, he sees his friend (?), Shirayuki, standing there and saying "good morning" to him. I don't know why, but I sense that she might be a yandere. Anyways, she made food for him and made it look like she was his maid. She is clearly in love with him but he (obviously) doesn't realize that. After she leaves, Kinji notices that he is late for the bus. That explains why he was riding a bicycle to school.
Now the story shifts back to the present. After Kinji regains consciousness, he sees Aria on top of him, sleeping. The first thing he notices is how cute her face she is. Then, he looks a bit lower and sees her shirt is lifted up, exposing her bra. Just like Nagi from Hayate no Gotoku and Taiga from Toradora!, Aria has a flat chest. And just like Hayate from Hayate no Gotoku and Ryuuji from Toradora!, Kinji comments on it. Once Aria stirs, she realizes just showed Kinji something that I would think she doesn't want anyone to see. Typical tsundere rage proceeds. Then, out of nowhere, bullets start flying at them. The source of the bullets were from more of those 'uzi mounted on a segway with a speaker' things. After fending them off temporarily with her two pistols, Aria warns Kinji that they will come back. All of a sudden, Kinji's personality changes and he starts acting cool and cocky. Aria was obviously impressed with his words but also surprised at the same time. After carrying her to a safe place, he proceeds to walk straight at those 'things' that have returned. With unbelievable accuracy, all his shots enter the barrel of the uzis and destroy them. Kinji later reveals that this was his Hysteria Mode. It was a special skill passed down to him genetically. The side effect, as shown earlier, was that it effected the user's mental state and manner of speech.
After coming back to his senses, Kinji can't forget how stupid he must have looked in front of Aria. Upon entering the classroom, the tsundere demands to be seated next to him. The whole class is surprised at this at starts creating rumors about them. However, the rumors come to a sudden halt when Aria takes out her gun and starts randomly firing, saying she'll shoot anyone who talks about love. Harsh. After a tough day, Kinji is finally back at his dorm relaxing until he hears the doorbell ring nonstop while he is thinking about why he was the target of the attempted bombing. Annoyed, he goes to open the door and sees Aria standing there. She forces her way in and, just like Taiga to Ryuuji, asks Kinji to be her slave. Oh, how I miss Toradora! now. Looking forward to the next episode.
